Sandy Benes |
I’m Sandy Benes. I
have four children, seven grandchildren, and have been married to my husband,
Mike for almost 53 years. I’m originally
from Adrian, attended Adrian College which is where Mike and I met.
After several years of theological
study at the Whitaker School of Theology, I was ordained as deacon in 1980 and
as priest in 1984. I served the
Episcopal Church in Adrian until called to St. Michael’s in 1982 and then made
rector in 1984. I served there for
twenty-three years and retired in order to spend more time with our growing
family.
Since then, I’ve been serving as a supply priest in churches
in this local area, including churches in Hillsdale, Michigan Center, and of
course, All Saints, Brooklyn. I love
what I do and am grateful to have opportunities to serve in places where I can
share in ministry with others. I believe
that we are all called to discover each other’s gifts and then provide
opportunities to develop those gifts so that we all may serve God in our own
ways under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
